Not willing to participate in the WC even though its a season target

Has anyone had this issue in career mode?
My star rider is not willing to ride for the national team and its even one of the targets. Can I fix it?

Damn, I have done this before... check dyn_cyclist and then the column gene_b_shortlist (if before 10th of September, later gene_b_nominated). I guess don't nominate too many riders, drop somebody else if the list is full. Create a new save in lachis and load that, just in case.

I cant remember of the top of my head which colum it is. But it is in dyn_cyclist and if he said no, the value is 0. 4 is the one you want.
So just find the colum where somebody on your team that you know has accepted to ride the WC, and then you should be at the right colum. Like i said, if he has said no, the value is 0, change that to 4.

I already selected 9 riders for the country draft squad. I'm at the 2nd of july so just before the tour. Do you think I have to remove riders before creating a new cdb file?
