Hello guys,

Just got back to the future. I bought an i3 8100 3.6 ghz + Gtx 1060 3gb.

I’ve been playing 2007 and now 2014 with some weak laptop at low graphics.

My question is about graphics and gameplay. So from 2014 is there a better version of pcm that’s worth buying for a better gameplay ( i’m doing career).

And will I be able to run the latest pcm full graphics with this setup?

Edit: Never mind, wrong info. Actually that's the new i3 generation processor which seems decent.

i3 combined with 1060? What are you smoking man? Gt yourself a proper i5 at least, i3 is for office computers. Pfft

With i5, eight series, some 8GB RAM and 1060 you should run 2018 PCM without problems on high, but surely not with i3...

That was my initial reaction as well, but I just checked benchmarks and it seems like the new i3 generation is roughly as good as the last generation i7s - the only weak point being the amount of threads it can run simultaneously. But that is probably only an issue for really graphics intensive, state-of-the-art games.

@Patb

Just make sure you got good cooling as it seems the new i3 starts to get into problems at 70° C

It’s in the living room in the basement... i’ll stay cool.

How about pcm version ? Which one is the best between 14-15-16-17-18.

Read that 15 was the same than 14 but with a better climbing selection system. Don’t know 16-17-18? I’m worried about imposed program by the rider.
