Crashing when starting the game

Sometimes when i start the new game, I get this popup message:

My specs:
E6550 @ 3,4 GHz
2 GB RAM
8800GT
Vista Ultimate
Btw, I already done this:

You need to update you graphics card's drivers, I think.

Im guessing its Vista being up to its no good tricks yet again. I doubt its the hardware in this case.

Is it Vista Ultimate 64-bit? Because that might be a problem.
Btw, following Cyanides instructions, did you try running it in XP mode under compatibility? |

No, it's the 32-bit version. |
