I've been on this site for a while and have decided I may as well get myself an Avatar. I'm not the most technically fluent so can anyone recommend the best way to go about it.

What type of file does my Avatar need to be?
What size does it need to be?
Is there any particular programme/app I can use to create/upload my Avatar?

Any help and advice would be welcome.

Go to "Edit Profile", on the right side in your user control panel.

Scroll down to Account Info. Read what it says about avatars... Tells you the size in both storage size and pixel size... And it says how to upload it to us...
Basically, use your eyes and read...

As for file types, any image file type works. And make sure there's no spaces in the file name.
