So... about the new race day form mechanic

Am I the only one feeling conflicted about the new race day form mechanic?

On one hand, it gives you more control over the form bonus your rider will have during stage races (add objective, favorite race, form peaking etc.)

On the other, same rules apply for the AI as well, so during a Grand Tour that all favorites have checked as an objective they will all have the same bonuses. Basically, the difference is still made by base stats.

I miss the old days when having a random +5 form during the Tour de France could actually win you the race.

Getting +4 or +5 can still win you LOTS of tme. Even though you're in peak form, chances are you'll "only" be between 0 and +3.

I like that it's a bit more controlled now (It actually was before too, just harder to manage) as sometimes you could completely wreck the race by getting a good RDC early and then getting multipliers for good performance, etc.

Now you might have better legs than opponents, but not MUCH better hopefully.

Unless you like Quit-nana try to do too much as a too weak rider.
