Profile can't be created

Bought 2016 today, but can't create profile. Been trying about an hour and a half. If I hit create profile button twice ti says profile exists (I think it says that because I hit it twice). If I wait 5 minutes, it will say connection lost, try again later. I've tried different emails, profile names (all lowercase). Searched what others did on this forum, but seem to be stuck.
Any ideas? thanks

Thanks for the link. My original profile name now shows up. It doesn't connect (so multiplayer and collections don't work), but I can play the game now
