Hey guys, I ran a couple searches for this question to no avail...
I have seen several replays captured and posted to youtube. How is this done? I wanted to export my replay and then put it in a video editor and create a highlight video from my season, but I can't seem to figure out how to export the video. All replays are saved as .bin files and not normal video files. Any help would be appreciated. |

I have VLC and you can't watch the videos via VLC or export the video to an editable format... |

Download Fraps (the free version)
You can then record 30 second segments of your replay
Combine them together using Windows Movie Maker

You could have been a little more specific
Anyway, as Crommy said, the videos are made with a screen capturing program. Most of the programs available only capture screenshots, but some - like Fraps - are able to capture video sequences which can then be edited with Windows Movie Maker or another movie editing program.
PCM also has an in-built replay engine, but you can't edit those |

how difficult is FRAPS to run? I am using virtualdub which is a free program and my system REALLY lags when trying to capture the video. I'm running a pc built for video editing so I'm not using a poor system for what I want to do. The CPU usage is just SO massive. Does FRAPS do a good job of managing this? |

I wouldn't expect it to be much better, but it's worth a try. |

over here, Fraps has a much better performance, so I use Fraps to capture and then VirtualDub to encode.
