Whenever i try to start a career it asks me if i want to use the db and i click ok and nothing happens

Well, you should ask them on their forum then. Sadly us poor db makers still have to completely figure out how to make our packs work fine with the workshop, so dbs might not be too stable yet; my suggestion is try the L'Inconnu db instead, that one should be stable.
