I am playing a career and am tired of all variants in especially the Grand Tours so I have created a few variants myself by combining stages from diffrent stage packs, years and stage races. Now I want to make sure that they appear next year. How can I do it?
The first thing that crossed my mind was just to remove all variants from the Stage folder, however the orginal Cyanide stages from 2014 is still left. Where are they? To just take backup saves and simulate the day race schedules will be tiredsome. Antoher good thing of finding the Cyanide stages would be the possibillity of including a few of them in new variants.
The second thing that struck me was the following question. If I name my variants 2030 like top_tdf_01_2030 will they automatically appear 2030 which is the next year in my career? Before I try that I just want to check with you guys so I dont do something unessecary.
If they're named 2030 they'll in fact necessarily appear next year, yes, but you can also change that on January 2 editing the last column (current variant) in sta_race and sta_stage. The first option is obvs quicker.
Ehh those files are not available online sadly. You might want to have a look at the download section of PCM 14 though, under stages. Quite a few variant packs you sure want to check out if you haven't yet.
Ok, I was just wondering in which folder they where. But now I found out myself. Yes there are a lot of intresting variants on the site. I actually downloaded a few last nigth so now I actutally have great routes for the next 2-3 years in my career.
