So I have this problem, I can't load any saved games.
What happened:
I was playing a career when suddenly my computer turned off (due to overheating I think). It has happened before without causing any problems. When I turned it on and opened the game I couldn't click the 'load last saved game', nothing happened when clicking the button. Then I clicked the 'load' game and the game (career_10) was missing.
So I checked the folder in documents where the savegames are stored and all three files were there (cdi, cdb or whatever). I tried moving the files to another folder and then move them back but nothing happened.
I figured the files had been corrupted so I thought I could use the weeklysave so I moved the latest weeklysave of Career_10 to the folder with the savegames. Now, when I opened the game and clicked the 'load' button the game instantly crashed. I moved the weeklysave back to its original folder but now the game still crashes every time I click the load button.
I've encountered this problem as well, I can't start a career as whenever I try to load it the game crashes when clicking the 'load' button. The 'load last saved game' button doesn't crash, but clicking it doesn't take me to my latest save but just keeps me on the home screen.
I read somewhere that this could be caused by a faulty savegame, but after removing all saves from the Documents/PCM15/Cloud the problem persists.
Has anyone got any idea what could be causing the problem? Thanks in advance.
Ideas about what causes the problem = 0 but I think there's this workaround which worked to some, testing this shouldn't cause any harm as long as you backup your save and stuff.
1. Backup all the stuff you had before
2. Go in the place where you can find your save, rename the cdb~ file to just cdb, remove the cdb and cdi files.

I found a fix, for some reason steam kept downloading the broken save to the my documents folder every time I booted up the game, causing the crash. After permanently deleting that, it was fine.
However, while trying to find a fix I went onto steam, game properties and clicked 'verify integrity of game cache' which has helped me fix other games before by downloading missing files. However, I think this has overwritten files from the expansion pack, meaning I'm going to have to redownload the expansion pack and re-install it...
Right, after playing another stage the same thing has happened.
As soon as the stage has finished (in this case GP Costa del Estruchi) the screen comes up where you can choose whether to go to the podiums or the race results page with the highlights in the background.
However, none of the buttons to take me off this screen appear (e.g. Go to Podiums) so I am stuck on this screen and have to close the game. When I return to my game the save is corrupt and the 'load' screen crashes.
The only idea I can offer is to turn off replays, with my old PC that stopped crashes at the end of the race. In PCM 14 it skips the highlights and these buttons and takes you directly to the podiums. However, despite many crashes I never had a corrupt save game, so your problem might be totally unrelated.
