Question regarding season planning

I was wondering whether your results influence your chances of being invited for certain races. This question applies mostly for non-WT teams in .HC races.

Usually when I plan a season, I select every single race on the schedule for the entire year and advance a day to see which races I can participate in. I rarely get to race the races that I'd really like to race and the calendar often looks very choppy. For my current season with CULT I even edited my save in order to get the calendar I wanted.

If it turns out that you'll be granted access to more races when you get some good results, this would mean that it's more beneficial to plan your season per three months instead of the entire year at once.

Has anyone ever tested this?

I think some have reported success, but I'm pretty sure at least some races won't let you participate no matter what. For example, as a good WT team I'd like to race the Tour de Wallonie as a preparation for San Sebastian and always get refused. Maybe you need a Belgian team to get in.
