Windows 10: will it work?

Junior Rider Posts: 31 Joined: 10-06-2012 PCM$: 200.00	I ignore frequent suggestions that I upgrade from Windows 8 to Windows 8.1 because I have a long career on PCM 12 that I don't really want to abandon. How confident can I be that the 8.1 compatibility issue problem is absent from Windows 10? I believe that I need to have enable automatic updates to receive the invitation to update for free to Windows 10. Am I right in thinking that this means that 8.1 will be imposed on me, and I will be deprived of use of the game until Windows 10 installs itself, and that this might be up to a year?
