I have been playing my career on an edited database based off of the PCM Daily Expansion pack. It was working until the Giro, when I pressed the advance time button it completely skipped the first stage. It didn't prompt me to put in riders or anything. When I tried to start the next stage I have no riders. I was thinking if there was a save game editor, I could fix it, but I don't know how. Any help would be welcome.
There are editors, for example the one in my signature. But if you are already in the second stage, it could be hard to fix it, see bottom of my answer.
But the game creates a backup of every week in your career and you could copy a backup to your save game folder and continue with that. This might allow you to fix the problem without having to edit anything.
The save is here: my documents\users\your name\database\solo\name of db\
The weekly backups are in the folder called weeklysaves.
You can also create a manual backup just before the Giro starts: Quit the game, open the save game folder, copy the file which ends with .cdb.
This should allow you to fix the problem without having to replay several days.
Fixing your problem in the game:
Just before the Giro starts, check that you have riders assigned to the race.
Regarding the editing of your save:
Whenever you edit your save, don't overwrite your existing save but give a new name to prevent messing up your career.
The race results would be in the tables DYN_classification_stage and DYN_classification_race. To fix your team into the Giro, you would have to add a line in both tables for each category and each rider. You can compare how the other riders are registered there and copy their values but it is really tedious to do.
