Heya guys,
Due to my interest in stats, especially back-up ones, I've started to run tests on them and see what their use is in PCM 14. If anybody has ideas they want me to try then just ask. I'm also going to be testing the way Mon/Hill stats affect specific stages, but that's just me. Some credit to Kent, I'm using his 60/80 formula for some tests.

Great scientific name - though I hate to point out it's spelled laboratory. I really enjoyed Kent's tests so I'll definitely be interested in your results.
As for ideas, I guess I would mostly be interested in... efficient climbing. With a mountaintop finish I like to set riders on the dot and I guess the fastest way of climbing the mountain would be to select the effort value needed to end up without yellow - and red - bar at the top. So here are some ideas:
- Which effort should I choose? For example, for a rider with 80 climbing going uphill 10 km at a steady 10%?
- And for 85 climbing? And for 5 and 20 km? A nice little formula would be ideal.
- What difference does the resistance actually make (slower reduction of the yellow bar)?
- Does the green bar make a difference?
- Does it make a difference whether the final mountain comes after 100 or 200 km?
- Is that actually the fastest method?
- What if I keep enough yellow and red to sprint the last km?
- How much does it help to cling onto a rival? Especially if the rival is the better climber? Should I stay with him or set my own pace?
- How much difference does protection make?
- How "good" does the protection need to be to really make a difference? For example, is it worth it to protect an 85 climber with an 80 climber?

Some great ideas Ripley, I'll be sure to test them out. I'm currently planning a recuperation test (yes it makes a difference but how much?) and a resistance test as you said. Then I'll move on to the gameplay tests, starting with the climbing ones.

Hmm. I always encourage stuff like this, it is definitely interesting
Good luck.
Although at this point it might be more useful if you wait a bit and do it for PcM 15, maybe
Or both, of course

Just quickly. 1) Yes it does, Green Bar is the overall energy the rider has left. More green bar = more energy = can rider faster for less effort. 2) Yes because at 200km Stamina (STA) comes into effect whilst at 100km Stamina won't have an effect. 3) Some protection is always better than none, provided you don't slow your rider down so much he loses contact. An 84MO will protect for longer than an 80MO because the 84 will tire slower than the 80. Same for an 80 over a 76 etc.

Both. Just doing PCM14 because of my interest, then I'll do 15. Thanks!
Cheers TMM, there's your answer for them Ripley

Cheers, I thought as much. But I'd be nice to know how big the differences actually are. I somehow doubt a shorter green bar makes much of a difference on the final climb, I doubt protection helps much. Seconds, sure, but minutes? So you're not off the hook, jandal! |

me too i performed several test on stats as acceleration resistence endurance, i tested the gel the protection system the equipments, freshness system and everything seems works well but my recuperation test had a fail! in my test there was not differences between raiders with recuperation 85 and raiders with recuperation 60. I think due to the new complex freshenss system cyanide could have deactivate the recuperation value. If u can perform a test about recuperation that is great for the community. In fact u have to consider that if recuperation doesent work so the training have to be revisited in a carrer because we dont want spent time to train a stats that dont work
