career mode: number of riders for teams

In the career mode in the game crashes if the number max of riders is higher than that provided by the official guide?

Don't think so, but you won't be able to do any transfers until you drop back to 29.

Not official, though. I once had a team with 31 riders for 1 season. Never 35, though.

I know in either PCM11 or 12 (can't remeber which) you could go over 40 riders in a team in career.... It wasn't fun but it did work.

As long as all the contract info and rider info etc. is all correct then Career mode will work as normal, except that as Ian says no transfers will happen. So after one season all teams will be back down to 30 riders as a maximum.
It certainly isn't recommended for a Career DB to go beyond those set game limits. Perhaps separating off a Single Race DB where you can go nuts on team sizes, whilst having a Career DB limted to 30 riders?
