First I have not touch or changed any graphic stuff since XMas,and I have not DL the newest patch yet.
When running ANY stage at all I suddenly noticed that the trees that is auto-produced inside cities and village are gone. Indeed they look like the city gardener squad have taken them down actually and left some disturbed earth as potholes.
Look at the picture and you see some holes in the garden that should have been trees.
To test this I opened a stage inside the editor and rebuild cities. All looked fine in the editor, but running the race the trees were "cut" down and removed.
Stunning since NO graphic has been touch, I swear.Since all other thing are correct and no DB package has been added since long before XMas I can't see any options but asking if this phenomenon is known.
I have never hear of such a problem, but maybe the cache of the game is corrupt.
I think the cache is somewhere in the Roaming folder, you can open that folder by typing %appdata% in the bar of the file explorer. Then have a look for the pcm folder. You can rename the pcm folder and start a stage to see if it helped.
A smart idea Lachi ... BUT
The tree are still gone, and before anyone say RE-INSTALL I must hear other smart options, or just leave it.
It's not that big deal, since all trees and stuff in the countryside is still in the game. Still a very weird thing, since I do see all garden trees in the editor...
Another very strange bug probably.
But lets not close the book on this mate.
Keep your bright brains working, you might well end up along side me one day
Sutty, I don't really believe in that disease, but I had my doubt when I created a nice alley with poplar-trees inside a city. Then I couldn't see the poplars in-game, so I too thought:
The Elm disease had struck again !!!!
Then what if the editor created a world wide disease on all garden trees ???

I got the same, and also same dates on the files.
I still think that bloody messing with the editor and the poplar alley had something to do with it. It's far fetch indeed, but I can't see any logic anywhere else.
What other folders might be involved in this mess ?
Then the issue isn't that terrible, since I can live with some missing garden trees.
Could this thing have something to do with the editor.
I can see the garden tree in villages and city when I rebulit cities, but then it's gone in-game.
However I think in trying to learn the editor and what it can do I might have pressed some save buttons that I beleive can do something to xml somewhere.
Still seeing the trees in the editor, then not in-gamer is still a puzzle.
The recently almost solved issue with faces not shown gives me hope that even this can be solved. This popped up before I upgraded to 1.04, but since I tried the upgrade and NO CHANGE. Buuuuhh
