Can someone explain me how theese two stats works in game and what difference is between them?
Because i have feeling that even in stage classified as hilly are riders with higher MON stats better if there is bigger hill, so i am wondering in what situations are hill stat counting and in what situations mountain stat.
Every stage has a hill/mountain ratio.
If this one is 0, then on all climbs the hill stat will count 100%.
If it`s 1, then the mountain stat counts 100%.
0,5 means 50/50, while the values in between should be obvious now.
So usually on tough mountain stages it`s 1 and this means if there is a small climb as well on that stage, then it`s still the mountain stat that counts.

After you played a bit, you will normally get a feeling for it by looking on the profile.
If the stage is just hilly and not very hard, it`s usually going towards 100% hill.
If it`s like the Tour de France mountain stages, in especially mountain top finish, then it`s usually 100% mountain.
Stages like the Giro Lombardia, who are rated hilly, but have longer climbs, might go towards 50/50.
And then there are stages like Fleche Wallone with medium climbs. Those might be in between. So like 70% hill, 30% mountain.
If you want to see the correct values, you can open the stage viewer in your PCM folder and open the zces/cds file of the specific stage. When it`s loaded, click on details and you will see a lot of details, most interesting obviously the mountain/hill ratio.
If you create stages on your own or you have the ztcs file, you can load those in the stage editor and manually change the mountain/hill ratio. but for most stages, you probably have to live with the automatic ratio.
You can figure it out by looking at the favourites list in game, riders like Gerrans, Gilbert and Martin are useful to figure it out what is the factor.
