Would i be able too change the 2013 db(the one with Euskaltel annd Vaconseli in-2012 nc one)?. I would like to change the year to 2011 and obviously i wouldl need to delete the palmares of 2012 season. Is this possible?. I want to be Radioshack with Andy and Frank it will be more realistic that way.
You'll need to change the starting year editing the column "starting_year" in GAM_Config from 2013 to 2011
To delete the 2012 palmares you must edit DYN_Palmares. Sort by year and just delete the entries that have got the value "2012" under value_i_year.
Lastly, if you want to edit the national champions, you have to edit the table dyn_cyclist and the column gene_i_champion or something. I'd advise you to do this with pcm fast editor that shows the meaning of the numbers representing the various national champions jerseys, it will save you a lot of time
But why don't you just use the 2011 db and convert it to 2013? Obviously it isn't possible to totally convert the 2013 db to 2011, there will be lots of riders missing etc.
It would look like a huge amount of work, but with the excel editor by Lachi it would be much easier to do. Probably the biggest difficulty you will face will be the tables layout, but it didn't change that much since then. If you don't know anything about it I'd advise you to visit this link: https://pcmdaily.com/infusions/pro_dow...hp?did=867
Of course I'm not considering all the jerseys and stages you'd miss though...
Thanks for your help Matt, i managed to change the year fine but deleting the palmares just takes way too long it only deletes it 1 bye 1 and it is no fun playing it that way.

Use excel editor. You can delete them all by selecting them and pressing delete on your keyboard
Open excel editor, load the cdb file, wait for the cdb to xml conversion, only open dyn_palmares when it will ask which tables to open, sort by year and only delete the 2012 entries. Then re export to cdb and you're done
I do not have excel editor will apache open office work? Or is there anything free i can download to do it?. I started one with the 2013 db anyway gave Andy a update but would rather i could start from 2011 or 2010. Thanks .
No, Excel Editor only works with Microsoft Office AFAIK. Tested it with Libre Office, that's basically 95% the same as OpenOffice. Those suits don't support the macros of the file exporter.xmls properly.
Yes, the macros might not run in any other office suite.
But all you need is an editor which extracts XML files from the database. I don't know the fast editor but my editor or the full editor from Cyanide both extract XML files.
This is what you have to do:
1. Create a new database from your editing in Fast Editor or just save, if Fast editor works with XML files
(2. Open/Extract that database with another editor, if Fast Editor does not work with XML files)
3. Run something like excel (don't know the apache office suite but editing XML files should be fairly common now).
4. Open the XML file of the table DYN_palmares
5. Delete all lines except the title row
6. Save
7. Build the database using the editor from point 2 (or point 1)

Lachi is right, I'll just add that Full Editor V4 by Cyanide will quickly convert the cdbs to xml so that you can open the xmls in OpenOffice and edit them, Fast Editor won't do it. Here's the link: https://pcmdaily.com/infusions/pro_dow...hp?did=485Edited by matt17br on 16-02-2015 15:34
