Do any of you career players have an issue with how the AI/game engine selects teams (invitations that is) for different races ??
Taking an example the two pretty big american races Tour of California and US Pro Challenge, cat 2.HC
Looking at the selections makes me wonder.
In my DB I have 8 US based teams of Continental Level and the 2 Cont-Pro United Healthcare & Team Novo Nordisk.
ALL these teams are subscribed to these races, so several World Tour teams are rejected. The last two years only 4-5 of the Cont teams gets invitations, so it´s more WT teams in the race then in this career game.
The issue is happening on ALL HC class races. Whatever country every team from that country gets subscribed, leaving out bigger WT teams.
This of course as you can see have something to do with wrong selections according to UCI rules.
In short the rules for 2.HC (and 1.HC) is that max 70% of the teams can be WT, so having only 4-5 WT teams in these two races, while 10 Cont teams is very wrong IMHO.
For your info I have set race_rules for ex California to just 20 teams, since in real life it´s most up to 17-18 teams that starts this race. I know the basic setup is almost having 25 teams in each of these races, but that is so wrong for many of them.
Opinions or perhaps how can this be adjusted ?
Should I edit the career DB now and then or any other way to "help" the AI getting this more correct.
I fear that I am left to this strange selection.
A notice is that World Tour races looks to be correct, like Tour Down Under. That race got NONE Cont teams involved in selections.
Lifting US Pro and California to WT will be overkill since some Cont teams normally are invited and that should remain. For that ALL HC races should then be at WT level. It feels strange.
