Advice needed for equipment/contracts

I started off as a continental custom team, It is coming towards the end of the season and it is time to negotiate new equipment contracts. I have no idea to take the money or go with the R&D program. I assume all suppliers are similar?

Finally I never change from the default set up should I bother?

It depends on what you want, of course.
I always go with the highest bidder, to have some budget for next season.

But if you want to work towards the perfect bike, choose R&D Smile

Well, that R&D program doesn't make really much difference because, as IRL, there may be better bikes but the differences among them are not noticeable enough in relation to the price you spend for them.

So I'd gor for the highest bidder.
