What is currently the lightest setup in terms of mods/packages and databases if all I want is correct team and rider names, and updated jerseys (for instance, the original four Giro d'Italia jerseys ain't as good as the ones found in the graphics forum)?

Most of the dbs that say realname db (personally I used the basic realname db) are just insert the file in your dbs folder.
For the jerseys you can download those jerseys and replace the ones that the game has.

Just to point out that some of the realname dbs already include the corrected jerseys

Thanks for your replays. Could you name some of the databases with corrected jerseys matt17br? I have downloaded the "pcmfocus_realname_db", is there a better option out there?
I'm planing on starting a career and want the game to run as stable as possible.

The realname db by cycling manager ita is the best option imo

I downloaded it, looks good.
Edit:
Do you use the database as it comes or have you change the stats, matt17br? The Focus db seams a bit more even in the MO stats for the best climbers.
Do anyone know if the Focus db will run without problems with the graphics from the ITA db?

I'm having problems with the BMC mini jersey being rotated a bit to the left and the background jersey being yellow when BMC is selected. Is there a fix for this? The same questions are asked in the comment section on the DB page, but no one has answered. |

It's probably because they don't have proper BMC jersey minimalliots and big jersey, you might have to change that, but it's kind of complicated

It isn't, at all. Just use the mini jersey creator that you find in the pcm 14 dl section and follow the instructions. The minishirts are differentand the background is yellow becausecthat tool wasnt there when the db makers created the db.
@john,you may try because im not sure if it will work because the db makers may have used different names for the graphic files. Changing the stats is easy, of course to have the most updated stats you should use a bigger db, but if you want to use a light one, youd better change them as your liking

I decided to just go for the RealNameITA database with updated jerseys. Only adding the correct leaders jerseys of the grand tours, leaving the stats unchanged. It's not a big problem that the BMC mini-jersey is rotated a bit, and I'm not playing with them in career mode anyway, so I don't really need the correct background at the moment.
Instead I have taken over the FDJ-team, hoping to be competitive on all fronts.
Anyway, thanks for all the suggestions guys. |
