DB editing
zmiguel91
Hello!

I need some help.

- Can someone explain me how to add 2 new regions to an existing country in the correct way?
- Also I want to add Prudential RideLondon Classic a .HC race that does not exist in the original calendar. Does anyone know where I can find it to download?
- I also edited the category of some races (.HC, .1, .2), there is a problem in keeping the same filename or I need to change to avoid a crash.
- Is possible to have more than 26 teams in the WC's in newer versions of the game?
- For a historical db how can I take off the helmets from the riders so they don't appear ingame?

Thanks

- Have never tried this before, but a new row in Sta_region could be enough, it's at least worth a try(make sure you have a backup). If you f.e want to add a new region to Belgium you'll have to use 403(4 being the number for Belgium and 401 & 402 already exist).
Creating a whole new country takes a lot more effort, but I don't think that's where you're after.
- If that's the RideLondon classic, it's definitely been made, because it's in several DBs, forum search could help you out. If not, you could request it at a stagemaker.
- Filename shouldn't be a problem, afaik it's only for ordering which isn't necessary.
- Nope.
- Changing game textures or equipment I think. You could have a look at the 'bigger' historical DBs and see how they've done it. You could even ask if you could use their files for it Wink

In the editor open Sta_Region and Sta_Country first.
Now find your country and to show you, I will choose Belgium. I want to add the regions Hainaut and Antwerp.

With these informations create two new lines in sta_region named in ID as 403 and 404.

CONSTANT : ( Name of the Region )
gene_strID_name ( the ID from the local.cdb, as your creating a new one, give them the ID 3245 and 3246 in the local.cdb under sta_localized_string)
Country : Choose Belgium
fkIDclimat : The Climate , choose Benelux
gene_b_europa Tick if the country it's in Europe
Weight Choose 30
gene_i_pos_x
gene_i_pos_y
: The coordinates for the Scouting Areas, I gave Hainaut 300 and 380 ( If you don't like the position, then try to change it till you get it right ) Antwerp: 305 and 395
gene_f_chance_pot0 and pot1 : 20
gene_f_chance_pot2 25,5
gene_f_chance_pot3 20
gene_f_chance_pot4 10
gene_f_chance_pot5 3
pot6 1,3999999761581421
.. Just copy the lines as in the database
local_temp : 0

Thank you both for the answers.

- I understand the table STA_Region, my problem was that the name of the regions do not appear ingame. So it seems that I have also to edit the local.cdb.
The other concern was if there is no other easier way to put the dots in the right places of the map other than by trial and error. Is boring...
- Yes, is RideLondon classic and I know that has been made, but just cant find. I'll ask some stagemaker.
- Ok. I really hope there is no problem.
- Ok.
- I'm going to ask the members who created these historic db's.

Thanks.
