i bought a new laptop but unfortunately i've lost my activation code. PCM is still installed on my old laptop though, so is there any way to retrieve this code so that i'm able to install PCM14 on my new laptop ?
There should be a way, I'm on the phone now so I can't be 100% sure. Open the windows register, if you use win 7 just by clicking on the start button and writing regedit.exe, open it, click on HKEY_Current_User/Software/Cyanide or Pro Cycling Manager 2014, not sure, probably the first one, in that case:/Pro Cycling Manager 2014/Don't know/Don't know, maybe something like Key/
Now there should be some binary files. You don't have to open them, just write down the values you find, they should be 2, one is the key you use to activate the game and the second one your user number
There is a tool to de-activate the game, maybe it has an option to retrieve the key.
This tool should be near PCM.exe but I forgot its name.
Hint: Due to obvious reasons, you should not de-activate the game on your old laptop but only look for that option. You might also want to google for it, the copy protection is from starforce if I am not mistaken.
Hint 2: Buy games on Steam if you are able to store your game keys securely.
Edit: It is not possible to copy the key from the registry, else the copy protection would be worthless. (Copy and pasting from the registry only works as long as it is the exactly same machine.)

You can still write it down And I think that his problem is only that he lost the key.

Why should anybody write down the encrypted key from the registry of his old notebook if caevinius wants to activate the game on his new notebook?
None of you, I only misread the part when he says that he bought a new laptop because of the hurry. Now I'm back home and I can read everything more carefully
