I'm in a career with a WT team and I'd like that my development continental team could sign a couple of young talents generated by the game.
How can I do that? I'm thinking to modify the column fkIDTeam_young_sponsor in the Young_Cyclist table but I'm not sure is enough. Has anyone ever tried?

You don't have to modify the column sponsor!
To "cheat less" the best way is making a list of all the riders that you want to sign (young cyclist table), then you send the scouts in the zones where the young guns are from and when the scout finds any young cyclist you will have the list of all the riders from that zone. You will have only to move with the arrow keys and find the riders that you want. Then contact him offering a contract (they often accept whatever offer).

But I don't want these young riders in my team . I'm trying to force other teams ( in this case my development team) to sign them
Oh, well:
-1-Go into the table Cyclist Contract
-2-Add a new unique line with a new id
-3-Select the cyclist you want
-4-Select the cyclist's team
-5-Select a wage (2000 most likely)
-6-Select the year of the end of the contract
-7-Date 0
-8-Don't Select Active Contract (or 0)
-9-Rest is 0 (or blank spot)
Hope it helps
This works perfectly with PCM 13, should work with 14, too, but since the contracts (with 14) offers are legit only since the 25 of july I am not 100% sure.
To be 100% sure you mudt add the new line the 25th of july.

What you can do is sign the riders you want in the development team yourself. As soon as they are confirmed, they'll appear in the cyclists without contract. When that's done, you go to DYN_Contract_Cyclist and edit the team from your own team to the development team, and for the rest he still has the contract you want him to have.
I tried but since they are new generated riders I can't choose them in the cyclist_contracts table.

This should work!
Thanks guys
Right, it doesn't work because I forgot to say that you need first to sign them, my bad.
Selwink's one is the correct explanation, though, hope it works for you Edited by matt17br on 05-09-2014 13:04
