Hi, I am playing this game on the lates patch with the FDB14v2.0 mod..
Now i don't know if this is a game mechanic or has something to do with the patch, sometimes i just like to auto the race (great new feature)..
I notice that in the game 50% of the time the peleton is too late catching the breakaway, they either just catch it or are too late (much more than in real life)..
anyone else noticed this flaw ? there is so many weird breakaway wins if you ask me, with a chasing pack just 200m short because they just start too late, or in the last 10k they not really chase.

It is a famous bug of pcm...
But this year I didn't notice too much breakaways that aren't caught. In pcm 13 the 75% of the breakaways arrive.
This year it was adjusted, I think.
It depends a bit on what difficulty you play. If you play on easy the breakaways will have a minor chanche to be caught.
I play on normal actually, might have something to do with the FDBv2.0 database maybe ? because stats are changed, i think RYD in every rider is higher and that might be why they can continue on longer.. Just guessing but maybe somebody who uses the same DB hase the same issue ?

Actually I have experienced this the other way around. In my game ( Got the exact same DB) and on easy the breakaways rarely holds ( 10 % of the time ) and I play on Hard , when I'm playing flats and Excellent in the mountain stage, and in my game it is the other way around

It probably influences the game a bit, that kind of stats matrix. But since in PCM 14 works, I think it is related to Resistance stat. Of course, usually, the guys in front have lower stats than the peloton's guys. With fdb, anyway, the fl stat is higher, so there isn't too much difference between the guys in front and the peloton.
I think that you should change db, at least to see what happens.
