Career disappeared!

Hello,
I was playing a career with NetApp and before play a race my computer did shut down by batery off.
When I restart my computer and play PCM may creer was disappeared from load game list :S.
is posible recovery my career mode from any archive? in my dcomunets maybe?

Probably you can recover a weekly save, but i am not sure. |

Check out the PCM14 map in My Documents, there should be the weekly saves.

the save game folder is here: my documents\pmc14\users\your name\database\solo\name of db\
But if the game crashed, then maybe you can recover your save by using the automatic backup. It has the same file name as your save but with a ~ at the end. Remove the ~ to load it in the game. |

I've got a similar problem
I just finished a TT and after the podiums my game froze and i had to reboot my system. When I want to load my last game, there's no response to the clicks, I just can't load anything. So I tried to load the save game, but the career isn't available in the game anymore, just a second career I started, but didn't continue to play. The career file still excists under my documents/... and I changed it with the automatic backup file as discussed or the weekly save game but it didn't help. I just don't have the option to load the career in the game although it's still there...
Can anyone please help me ? I don't want to give up that great career  |

I don't understood what you wrote, but if the save game is broken, it can make your game crash when trying to load a save. In this case you have to remove the broken save first.
After fixing the crash, just copy the most recent file of your career from the weeklysave folder to the save game folder and then load it in the game. |

The problem isn't the game crashing while trying to load the save game. The game crashed during/after a stage in 3D mode. After that I'm not able to load the save in the game because it's not there. But the 3 files of the career are still in the Solo folder. I tried to replace the career file with a weekly save file and removed the ~ of the other file to replace the career with that file too, but it had no effects. The career simply disappeared and I have no option to load it, but all the files are still there, so this seems odd to me. |

I still cannot follow you. You should be able to load any file you put into the save game folder. Are you sure you are putting the files into the correct folder? Are you sure you know how to load saves in the game? |
