Just making a leadout train on dot(free effort).
Just let the riders follow each other, with as last rider your best sprinter.
Domestique - Domestique - Flat beast - (optional Flat beast) - good sprinter - leading sprinter.

How closer you are to the finish, how higher the dot effort should be. The 3rd man from the sprint train should go on 96+ dot, imo.
Start sprinting with your leadout on 1800-2200m and at 1000-1200m with your sprinter.

I also find that its really important to have strong flat riders in the leadout train. If you dont have 2-3 74-75-76 flat riders (good resistance too?) its not worth bothering with a train - the riders will have go too high on dot and will burn out quickly. Maybe use your strongest guy to protect the sprinter until final 4-5 km then take a wheel.
On the same topic, does anyone know if following a rider (opponent or not) gives protection like the protect command, or any protection?
Also in the last 2-3km (usually when you have sprinter +2 riders) the riders often get out of the saddle and look like they're sprinting - are they using the sprint stat or flat? If using the sprint stat, surely we need two sprinters to lead out?

Riders don't start using the sprint stat until they are actually in the sprint, either by following someone who has started their sprint, or by sprinting themselves. Until that point is is the flat stat (or hill).
