All of these crashes leading into 3D-races

It happens with approx 1 of 10 stages. The loading screen will reach "spline isolated geometries" and then crash. The cyanide "crash" popup comes up.

It happens with specific stages both in career and single stage mode. Examples: Paris roubaix, 5th + 17th stage of the tour.

I've tuned down the graphics settings(which is stupid since I have a very decent gaming pc), to no avail.


I've just about given up on this game. If I have to simulate the crucial stages, rather than playing myself.

I am using the FDB db.

I have the same problem, although much more frequent,like 8/10stages.
sometimes it helps after a couple of tries, though.
my database is spanishbase_v1

Certain database packages are replacing stage files, so it will be hard to find the problem.

But you can try the same stage in the single stage mode. If it loads there, it is a problem with the career and not the stage itself.

But as far as I know, the game rarely crashes while loading the stages. Make sure to wait long enough and don't click or Alt-Tab out of the game if you are running in fullscreen mode.

The culprit was the "isolated buildings" option in graphics. I turned it off, and it works.

As far as I know, isolated buildings are these special buildings like the London Tower Bridge or the Tour d'Eiffel (Eiffel-Tower in Paris), ...

Either some files are missing or your computer has a general problem with them.
