First of all apologies if this is in the wrong section.
Thinking of buying cycling manager 2014 but due to past experiences I need to ask some questions on install.
I would like to install 2014 if my PC will run it. If not I will look at an earlier year like 13,12,11,or 10.
What I need to know is, I have I think it is 2007 or 2008 game which I installed some time back on my Vista Laptop.I noticed then it was star force protected but didn't seem to bother that laptop.
But I would like to run the 2014 game or an older one (could be 07/08) on my new windows 8.1 laptop.Problem is does anybody know if any of these games whatever year will run on windows 8.1.
Secondly I remember installing another star force game on my new PC a couple of months back and it wiped out the whole of my laptop which had to be system restored and basically messed up all my other installed games.
Anyway any help/advice on running on windows 8.1 and which if any cycling manger game that I have mentioned as if any star force protection and is there a work around to solve it obliterating my PC.

PS: I have Tour DE France 14 on PS3. What main differences is there (if any)from the cycling manager 14 game!!
You should ask the publisher what protection they're using. Also you could ask Steam what protection they are using. If you have problems with starforce, then you should also ask starforce.
I know there was a patch for one of the previous games, else it would not run in W8.1. But I cannot remember which version and I cannot tell you about all the games. Look in the technical section of the official forum for more info.
