Is it only me who thinks that Cyanide have overdone it a little regarding riders being tired for every race that isn't on their objective list.
Like. It basicly doesn't matter if the rider is in top shape in that period, he will still be missing some of his energy.
I liked the way it was in PCM13. Maybe just a little tweak more so riders would lose energy faster when racing, but straight out just cutting of 15% of their bar is just stupid in my opinion.
I heard it is quite random. So sometimes you will have full bar, and sometimes you won't, because the rider is still building up form. Quite logical, to me.
I actually really like that feature. And in my (little) experience, it's on average maybe every fourth or fifth stage/race that a rider is significantly influenced by freshness. And only in prep races, which I find realistic, as Jesleyh said. I had it a few times that a rider had to give up a race because he started with literally 10-15% of his green bar, but that stuff happens. In PCM13, I think there were far too little injuries/illnesses/random form losses, and maybe they overdid it a little now, but balancing such things is always hard and I think it's a great feature to make the game more interesting.
And if you're seriously annoyed, you can always reload your savegame a few times before starting the stage until your main riders are all fresh. Not the ideal solution, but should do.
Well it just makes it really hard to compete with alle those sponsor objectives, when the riders are as fragile as they are atm, regarding freshness and the inpack it has.
Maybe i will be better at managing it after a while, will have to wait and see.
I think it's the best feature which ever was implemented in the game series. If the game wouldn't be as bugged as it is now, I would buy it just for this.
And concerning the sponsor goals. I think it's good that you cannot achieve the goals easily. Also it's not necessary to achieve all sponsor goals, because, at least in previous games, achieving them all doubled the sponsor playments for the next season making the game way too easy.
I agree with Lachi. By this one tiny change in the game took an unexpected depth. You need to carefully plan the calendar (to the day) and during the stage you need to really PLAY, not only set to hold position and go to dinner awaiting to the last 30 km. The tours are exciting to the very end because the leader can have a breakdown of each day. Your helpers can tired opponents leaders not in order to win the stage, but to win a stage for the week and good team (not only leader) is more important, I'm sure that the form of the day is of great importance, but I can not give numbers.
