Adding a country

Hi
I thought I'd make a little tutorial (since the question might come up now or later on) how to add a country.
You add the country in:
- In the DB :
+ STA_country
+ STA_region
+ DYN_national_team
- In the Local :
+ LOC
+ STA_TGA
- Add the flag (.tga)
Where to find?
DB : C:\Documents and Settings\User\My Documents\Pro Cycling Manager - Season 2014\Mod\Database
Local (non-steam) : C:\Program Files\Cyanide\Pro Cycling Manager - Season 2014\Database
Local (steam) : C:\Program Files\Steam\steamapps\common\Pro Cycling Manager - Season 2014\Database
Where to drop?
Flag (non-steam) : C:\Program Files\Cyanide\Pro Cycling Manager - Season 2014\Gui\country_flags
Flag (steam) : C:\Program Files\Steam\steamapps\common\Pro Cycling Manager - Season 2014\Gui\country_flags

Now there's one more thing I'd like you guys to help me remember: how do you determine the x-pos and y-pos in STA_region? I know it you need the world map for it but what proggy to use?
If steam-users would be so kind to confirm the steamlocations (I have the DVD-version) that would be cool

Are you sure that you can add national teams without making the game crash during the WC races? |

Yea you can, it will just use those preset teams though for the WC races.

That is not correct. X and Y start at 0, being the top left corner of the map. The higher the X value the further right, the higher the Y value the further down the map. I normally just look for a country close by and take a guess, go into the game, look, then take another guess until I get it right.

So it translates to: It is pointless to add national teams, right?
Depends, if you add a country and want a national team of it aswell, you can replace an existing team
For example:
Adding Nigeria
It looks pointless to you for Sweden to participate in WC races
Overwrite Sweden with Nigeria
Unlink Sweden in STA_country (fkIDnational_team) and put that ID in the same column next to Nigeria.
The tut was mainly to explain how to add a country for if ppl want to create themselves but they are from a country that is not in the DB yet. |
