Bugge (Risa) looks comfortable in the leaders jersey, but he and his team now have two tricky little city crits to contend with to convert this race into a nice GC win.

Today we have 12 circuits of a 10km long rotation with a 1km hill up to Quebec fort to be dealt with and most tricky of all we finish atop it.

Our break today forms on the second circuit and contains six riders.

Carapaz (ONCE), Gallego (TomTom), Naud (RBC), Carter Jones (Chiquita), Stuyven (Lierse) and Stevensen (Carlsberg).

Two of these Jones and Naud have 10 KoM points apiece and with three 3rd Category checkpoints over the day they have a chance to move forward. Even more so in fact as Jones takes the first two climbs ahead of Naud to move into joimt king of the mountains lead with Semple (ASDA).

The pack have decided today is one for the breakaway with them being allowed six minutes with 25km to go. The elastic has been allowed to stretch a bit too far really for some teams with highish placings on GC. Naud, Gallego and Stuyven were all within aorund 7.30 and 8 minutes behind Bugge at the beginning of the day and could well sneak into the GC top 15 or so if they gain six minutes.

Siam Cement are looking to control things for Poorseyedi.

Meanwhile joy for the minions as Jones takes the last 3rd category climb, putting him securely in the KoM lead.

Naud took third at this one putting him up to 3rd on the KoM standings - he also is the best

placed GC rider in this break at 7.38, so great chances of a real bonus day in the break for him.

Jones continues his attack from the final categorised climb point to lead over he final sprint point by 10 seconds on the other five.

Last check to the pack was 6.30, so this elastic is still stretching - what a chance for a move on GC for some of these.

Carapaz drops off the pace though for ONCE (not that he was high enough on GC to benefit).

Jones is caught, but another from the break fancies a shot at it with 4.5km to go - this time it

is Stuyven.

Gallego however cannot stick with the big Northern Classics man Stevensen as Naud scrambles across to his wheel. Stevensen though has impressively caught Stuyven quickly.

The Carlsberg rider has daylight as they start the last climb to the fort at the finish.

Stuyven seems to have lost out to Stevensen but is holding Gallego and Naud. Jones is further back in the distance he seems to have sacrificed stage glory for King of the Mountains jersey.

Stevensen though has comfortably won this, he saved the most energy it seems and has the running man celebration - a great win for Carlsberg!

Stuyven takes second over Gallego third and Naud in 4th.

Jones is 5th with Carapaz trailing in 6th place. Out of the pack we get no real organisation but Matthews (Risa) wins the sprint to the line.

The pack rolled in 5.49 behind the break which means that Gallego moves up to 8th GC, Naud 10th GC and Stuyven 15th GC. A great bonus for these riders and teams.

A lot of the minor classifications have also changed today with TomTom and Carlsberg rocketing up the teams standings. Naud and Stuyven have also moved well up the Youth standings.
