The nominees:
Accumalux
The Tour de France winner and the Paris-Roubaix winner came from Roubaix, and they were also strong in the team events - the TTTs, impresive wins came in Eindhoven and at the Tour's TTT. Took 4th in the ProTour standings.
Tinkoff Credit Systems
Absolute continental domination. It took them 5 races to reach the top of the standings, and apart from a 2 race period where Letua/Procycling took over, they led all the way to the finish with Wegmann, Caethoven and Mazzanti the top scorers.
Carlsberg
Investing in Oldies paid off as Carlsberg celebrated a ProTour victory despite multiple near missed - Catalunya, Tour de Suisse and Paris-Nice are just 3 examples of where they lost out on overall win by less than a minute. Vinokourov, Rasmussen, Menchov and Schumacher led the way.
La Gazetta dello Sport
An Italian dream team in the hills of Di Luca, Cunego and Nocentini, they dominated the Giro and Lombardia inparticular and were 2nd in the team standings.
Credit Agricole
3rd in the ProTour standings with Boogerd delivering surprisingly well. Dekker was not quite as good as 2007 but was nevertheless an important asset, along with Alessandro Petacchi.
Also nominated: Designa Kokken, Cycling24

None of the CT teams would have been able to do any good in the PT last season. Therefore, there's no reason to nominate them since they can't be the best team unless they actually were the best team ...
(And for the same reason, I voted for Carlsberg. They won the Pro Tour, therefore they are the best team). |

I really thought Carlsberg was going to win this one. I thought they were easily the best team. They practically got on the podium in every single race.

As said, for me, the best team must be the team which wins the Pro Tour. I don't get why anyone would vote any different |

The ProTour winning team could also just be a team which has a lot of hilly riders and gets many points, but there can be any other team which is way better at overall, and luck is also pretty important
