Story Save Gone - URGENT HELP NEEDED

Ok guys, so the save for my story is kind of gone. I accidentally pressed 3D race when I meant to simulate, so without thinking, I force shut-down my computer to avoid starting the stage. When I returned to play again about half an hour later, when I pressed "Load Last Saved Game" it did nothing, and when I pressed "Load" the save wasn't there.
Under "Weekly Saves" in my PCM folder, the last save is still there from before the race I quit on. Please tell me how to revive my save, this is URGENT!

You might be able to load direct from the Solo folder, which is a daily copy of the save game.
Also don't force quit like that. It is always better to just wait and stop things in the proper fashion. You will then be very unlikely to hit these types of problem

When I double-click the save in the "Weekly Saves" folder, it says "Which program would you like to use to open this file?"

Just copy your weekly savve and paste it into your main save folder:
Documents\Pro Cycling Manager 2013\Users\[your name]\Database\Solo\[name of db]
then open pcm, and click on load and select this saved file
EDIT: and as TMM said, if you accidently load a stage, just wait for it to load properly and exit the game that way by pressing esc. Never force shut down the pc

You can cancel a 3D stage at any time (after it has been loaded and before the last rider crossed the line or the time limit has run out)
Hit ESC (Escape) then follow instructions on the screen.

Yeah thanks Lachi I knew that. I just didn't think about the consequences and couldn't be bothered for the stage to load
