Cavendish vs. Kittel

Hey Guys,

How is your thoughts on the Cavendish/Kittel case. Were Cav tired after the giro, or is Kittel gonna dominate the sprints in the future, like Cav has done in the past seasons ? What so you gyus think ?? Smile

This deserves to be in the 'Cycling' section, if it deserves a topic, but anyway Pfft

I think it wasn't just tiredness, It's at least obvious that Cavendish is no dominating force anymore.
Kittel & Cav should now be at least equal IMO. Kittel is younger, so he might overtake Cavendish fully soon...

If you look at the sprint itself, you can see that Cav, almost catches up with Kittel during the sprint. i think that kittel was dominating this year, because his leadout was better that Cav's, hopefully that will change now, with Petacchi, and Renshaw Smile

Hmm, well, it's hard to judge on 1 sprint.
But who knows if Kittel would have been able to overtake Cav if he was in Cav's wheel?
But yeah, of course, leadouts are important.

But I think Kittel will be just on the stronger hand next season.

I think he did exactly that on one of the mid-Tour stages.
