Hi,
I know a lot of stagemaking, but last day I've found a problem. Adding a new road: Rds_XXXXXX_XXXXXX_123_D works, but I just can't mange to let it be a cobbleroad. What do I have to do to make from a new road a cobbleroad?

It's somethin in the XML file, I'm pretty sure.
Found this two differenses between a normal road and the cobbled road:
Normal road
<BumpTrace>
<Bool>1</Bool>
<Rand>26299</Rand>
<RandClampX>0</RandClampX>
<RandClampY>99</RandClampY>
<TraceRepeat>30</TraceRepeat>
<TraceSpace>3</TraceSpace>
<Diffus>
<R>0.87</R>
<G>0.87</G>
<B>0.85</B>
</Diffus>
</BumpTrace>
Cobbeld raod
<BumpTrace>
<Bool>0</Bool>
<Rand>26299</Rand>
<RandClampX>0</RandClampX>
<RandClampY>99</RandClampY>
<TraceRepeat>40</TraceRepeat>
<TraceSpace>12</TraceSpace>
<Diffus>
<R>0.5</R>
<G>0.5</G>
<B>0.5</B>
</Diffus>
</BumpTrace>
Don't know if it's actually this, but i think it's worth a try :)
EDIT:
If you copy this to the XML file, and rename the names. Ex. if you name your road rds_XXXXXX_XXXXXXX_10

Simply changing the road texture. There are 3 or 4 that will make cobbles. Just go through until you find the right ones. It's really that simple

Yeah, in the editor... If you are trying to adapt an old race using a .cdx file then i have no idea. If you are editing an old file using a .cds(?) then it's just changing the road type in the editor.
Otherwise might also be needing some DB editing, making sure the stage is classified as cobbled... column doesn't spring to mind...

Hi guys,
Thank you for the answers, but I got no further progression. I copied the exact same text of road 06_a and made it 06_b, but PCM still saw only 06_a as a cobbleroad.
So, there has to be another parameters outside of the xml file.
Does anybody know? |
