I hope there still might be someone reading this topic...
First of all it must be said that I'm an experienced player, I saw the game crash plenty times, and I always found a solution here, or on my own, but this time I'm stuck. The problem is with the date of the crash: because it's the last day of the month, I can't just get through the day rewriting the date in GAM_CONFIG. The first time I tried, the whole game got ruined, no major riders took part in major races (although they weren"t attached to other races), and after trying the same the second time, races just simply vanished, and no races were run. It must be noted that it's the end of March, and the game crashed in March about five times. I would really appreciate any help because it would really suck to finish the career this way in 2014, after all those editing to make riders and teams realistic.
Somehow last time on about the 20th time I tried to turn the day, it happened, and I didn't do anything with the db. This year I have the same problem again, and all I do for 3 days is enter the game to watch it crash on day turn. Just great...

Can't really help, but I have had the same problem when entering a 3D-game. In the end I just simulated the game to move on. On another occasion I really wanted to play a specific 3D-game that crashed and just like you the solution was to let it crash about 7-8 times before beeing able to play, so I guess the best advice is to keep trying.
