Hi,
I'm about half way on my second season and it's not been pretty. I should pick it up a bit as my team better suits the second half, but since I have 4 riders ending contract I'm rethink my strategy.
The guys ending contract are nothing to look at. One is a decent sprint, but for some reason I've never been able to make him perform. They earn 2 to 3.5k a month each.
My best guys for now are Wilko Kelderman and Michael Hepburn. While both are nice, wilko still needs work and Hep can TT but no much more. Still, I have to stick with them due to contracts.
Appart from that, some decent (73MO) climbers, a couple of half decent hillers and a 72 sprinter with 70CB too. The rest are crap or some young hopefuls.
I'm also hoping for some extra sponsor money (fingers crossed) since I receive 51k a month but had some offers last season for up to 92k.
Obviously, I'm also paying about 20k a month for staff and will even raise it since I like to bring up youngsters.
I have a total of 18 riders
Now, should go for some more youngsters or should I try and get one or two great leaders to help me out? I feel like I'm spreading my butter over too much toast. |

I think you need to go for some leaders for the team, because you cant do good with a team as that in WT races. |

I would go into the U23 Rankings and sign the top 2 or 3 riders. For leaders I would go after someone who could lead the team in a hilly race.

I got a new sponsor. Went from 51k a month to 101k a month.
Trying to get a climbing captain and 2 helpers.
Plus, signed 3 U23 riders. |

I'm still waiting for the replies, so I'm not saying... I don't want to jinx it. I'll know more once I have the time to forward a couple of days (I'm currently racing a tour).
The U23 riders are pretty decent looking, but when August comes I'll know their potential. |
