This message pops up whenever I try to start any type of race in single player mode and shuts the progam down. However, I can access multiplayer.

I downloaded the game straight from the Cyanide site and have added the latest patch manually as the autorun feature would not do it automatically ( A separate issue I spent hours going through forum advice to try to fix ).

When I reset the game it works fine the first time but then reverts to this problem the next time I start the game up.

I am running on an HP elitebook 8560p with no modifications so the hardware handles fine and is not the problem.

Any advice/help would be appreciated as I am experiencing hours of maddening frustration instead of hours of fun!!!!!

What database are you using, sometimes when you start a single player race, and the tables aren't edited to say what teams are in the race, the game crashes.
