guys how is the game compared to 2012 with crashes to desktop??
Because even in 2012 with no mods it seems to crash.

It crashed for at least 4 times to me. 2 times in Armada , 2 times in Stage Race. Didn't start career,since i am still waiting for all patches and decent DB. And i am playing with high settings.
Really recommend you to buy,you will surprise yourself how good it is. Career is not good enough still (that will probably get fixed by one of next patches,don't worry) ,but every other section is almost perfect. You can read impressions in "PCM 2013" and "PCM 2013: First Impression" threads.

So far, it seems to depend on the user. I have a three-year old laptop that could run PCM 2012 on pretty high setting (I had everything turned up to the max, I just couldn't use shadows). The game never crashed, which stunned me given how unstable previous versions have been.
On PCM 2013, entirely different story. I still meet the minimum requirements, and I heard the game was supposed to be easier on low-end computers, but the game crashes mid-stage all the time. Turning the settings to minimum doesn't help. Yesterday, I tried the single stage for stage 1, and it crashed to desktop twice. Both times, nothing unusual and there was no lag or anything before it closed; it just immediately shut down. I have seen some people have similar problems.
However, everyone who actually had problems with PCM 2012, especially if they have a good setup, seems to have absolutely no problems this year. I hope, should you choose to purchase it, that you are lucky and the game works! |

No, I would say medium settings, it runs on high setting for me, but super slow and laggy.

Guys having problems. I noticed my game kinda choppy when Anistropy was set pretty high (was 32 an option?) I put mine down to 8 I think and its much better.
Shadows and that seem to be the biggest settings that slow down my laptop.

I just tried this on a single stage on Mont Ventoux. Despite trying half a dozen times before today, I'd never even made it to the climb before the game would crash. It's the stage I really look forward to this year.
I lowered that setting and that setting alone and the game ran just fine for the first time. I don't know if that's what did it and I will try some more times to really see, but it seems to have helped. Thank you. |

pcm 12 was also crashing for me in 3deven with the standard database.
im running a i7 2600, 16 gig internal memory, and a ati 7970 in windows 64 bit so i asume my system should be capable haha |
