I've always been a big pro cycling manager fan, had almost every previous edition. I'm also a Macbook pro fan, though the two are not ideal to combine. I used to have windows xp, and later with lion windows 7, running with bootcamp on my macbook pro 13' and that way I was always able to play the game smoothly (though with reasonably low graphic settings).
I recently upgraded to a:
macbook pro retina 13 inch
Processor 2,5 GHz Intel Core i5
Memory 8 GB 1600 MHz DDR
Videocard Intel HD Graphics 4000 768 MB
Software OS X 10.8.3 (12D78)
Intel HD Graphics 4000:
Chipsetmodel: Intel HD Graphics 4000
Type: GPU
Bus: Built in
VRAM (total): 768 MB
Fabricant: Intel (0x8086)
Resolution: 2560 X 1600
Retina: Yes
Pixeldept: 32-bits color (ARGB8888)
I assume the laptop should be able to run the game with those graphics. I've dual booted my system with windows 7 and 8 and with both I wasn't able to get the game running. It didn't even start up. Has anyone been able to get the game running on a Macbook pro retina? Is this even possible? And if yes, how?
You have to be more specific about "I wasn't able to get the game running".
Did it install? Did it install the patch? Did it install the copy protection (Startforce)? Did you enter the activation code?
But looking at the resolution of your new notebook, that could be the problem. There is an xml file for the graphical options somewhere in my documents\pcm12\. Open that file with a text editor and set the resolution manually.
To be more specific, I can get the game installed, when I start the game up, and chose to play the game it tries to start it up and then immediately shuts down.
I assume it has something to do with the resolution indeed yes. So will try that when I've reinstalled windows 7 and will post an update in this thread.
