Hi all, i'm here to ask for your help. Data Universe is the first PCM 2013 database project. Data Universe is a giant database who regroup all the PCM communauties (pcmvillage, pcmspain, pcmactu, pcmfrance, official cyanide forum...). The project is :
→ 800 teams
→ 10000 cyclists
We want to do a very big database, so we need you.

800 teams? That's amazing. Isn't there a team limit in the game?
And will you add loads of races too? Otherwise there's no point of adding the teams

Sounds interesting. However, as noted by Jesleyh, there seems to be a limit on the amount of teams. This might be gone in PCM13, but I doubt it |

I found how to add new team and delete the limit, so that's not a problem. 500 races will be add too. |

Sounds very good! How will the stats be decided? I saw some more of those big DB's in the past, but some of the stats kept me from wanting to download it. Just use the PCMdaily stats for the riders who are already in the default DB

It will have many fantasy teams. For the races, we will use Lachi's Editor and Full Editor. The default DB will be the French Communauty Databse or the PCM Daily Database, we don't know for the moment. For the stats, we'll take the most realistics posible and for fantasy teams, we'll invent them. Sorry for my English, my mother is English but i'm French. The Database will be operational for August 2013 so, you'll have to wait |

why can't you just leave out fantasy teams? |

I do agree with Maxime here, I prefer a big lot of small existing teams over big fake teams.
Although you can't get 800 real teams filled with only Continental teams I guess, you have to get a 'league' lower for more than 200 teams... But I would like to ride with some very small, but existing teams.
Anyway, that's just my opinion.
If the added fantasy teams are very weak, then it's not an big issue for me.
It's a great project nevertheless

I was excited by this... until the addition of fantasy teams 
As long as every, and i mean every, UCI registered and NE team from all the major cycling nations, and the fantasy teams are worse than them, then i can deal with it.
Otherwise i just don't see the point in such a large DB.
Same with the races. No fantasy races until all possible real races are added

Must be alot of fantasy teams... I counted 147 CT teams + 20 PCT + 19 PWT so 186 Real teams. Then I would use high end national amateur teams (I'm sure local people can list some, I can list many for GB). Fill up to 800 with fantasy from there (my recomendation... but it's your DB) |
