Repeated, unexplained crashes (game has never worked)

Hello,
Been intending to get pcm2012 for a while, have not had a lot of time free over last year which is why I'm a latecomer to this most recent version.

Anyway I purchased it yesterday and the game does not work. It crashes on any screen, simply shutting down. No error message, no problems while the game is running.

I downloaded the 'MICROSOFT WINDOWS 7 UPDATES FOR AMD FX PROCESSORS' from the Focus website.

Some system details:
2.3GHz AMD Athloan II P360 Dual Core Processor
4 GB RAM

Any help?

Is it a CD? Is it patched?

Try turning down the graphics?

Download version, got the latest patch, so that will include all the updates will it? Or do I need them all?

No, only latest patch.

But I don't understand what your problem really is. You wrote that it never worked, but you also say that it crashes on any screen and that the game IS running.

Sorry: it works only in the sense that it will initially run, but it always crashes at some point within around 20 minutes of starting

This game can crash when playing 3D races, this is caused by "overestimated" graphical settings (as Cyanide calls it). To prevent this, you have to reduce the settings.

If the game also crashes in the manager interfaces, then I don't know. You would need to contact the official support.
