Follow on Button
Cycling Rookie
Hi guys,

I seem to have problems getting this to work as I think it should.

I presume you need to be behind the rider you want to follow, but how far is too far?

Do I need to be directly behind the guy or within say 2 bike lengths?

I am trying to use it to "tag on" to another team`s Sprint Train, but my guy just sits there peddling away on his own no indication of wanting to join the train.

This is just the "Follow Button" not "Follow Attack Button"

Cheers Again.

Theoretically, you can be at the other end of the peloton.
The problem here is that your rider is simply too weak to grab that wheel, as other sprinters compete for it as well. There probably is one right behind already, and pushing him out of that spot worked well some editions ago, but it's nearly impossible now.

Trying it multiple times might help, but you might have to go a bit further down the train to get in line.
Alternatively, be right there with 18k to go to be the first to follow.

It's like in real life, just because you want that wheel, you're far from being guaranteed to get it.

What attribute of the rider is "too week to grab the wheel" in PCM2012 speak do you think,Stamina?

Definetly not Stamina, which is used only in +200km stages. More likely acceleration Wink

FL will be the only stat that is a problem.

Frooe - why ACC? that is only the red bar decrease, which would not be the problem here

I was thinking that if there was a fast train you wanted to get onto, the faster your red bar decreases plays a part in getting the wheel.

You're probably right though Pfft

Depends on the competition. If you're competing with Cav, Greipel and the other top sprinters, your guy will likely struggle to find wheels.

Should work okay in weakly contested CT sprints, though.
