Budget to sign riders

Apologies if this has been asked before but I couldn't find a similar thread.

I have just signed a big contract with a new secondary sponsor for next year which will increase my budget yet the amount I can offer to recruits is limited to the budget of my existing primary sponsor. Is there anyway I can get around this. Otherwise I will have a huge surplus next year

Keep the surplus, in case the team falls on hard times, you'll be able to sign good youngsters. And sadly, I don't know I way to supercharge your allowance to sign riders.

There may be a better solution, but the one that comes to my mind is this.

Offer the riders what you can. Then exit the game.

In a database editor, open your save-game, then find DYN_contract_cyclist_offer. Here you can edit your offers to whatever you like.

Save and play when done.

I know this sounds a bit troublesome, but it might be the only way.

Thanks Crue True, that is the solution I had stumbled on as well and has worked. My worry now is that I am not really going to get the new sponsorship money from Virgin after all. Is there a way of checking this with the editor?

Well, if it's a bug you can correct this yourself once the sponsor has taken over. (value_i_budget in DYN_sponsor).

It's a bit silly but think of ho wmuch spare cash you will have for the best trainers etc.
