You can either rename the stage files of the variant you want to choose to [etcetc]_2014 (e.g. top_tour_01_2014) - but that is a bit of work and only works if you're haven't passed Jan 1st 2014 in your career - or, probably easier, just edit both STA_race and STA_stage changing the "gene_sz_variant" column to the prefix of the variant you want.
