Game crashes at podium

I am using the pcm daily database 1.4 and in my first season at the tour de france right now, but everytime when I have finished the stage the game automatically goes to the podium places instead of asking if I want to see the podium or not, and crashes after the podium. Sometimes it even doesn't show the players, only the background of the podium places.

What may cause this?

I can still play, because the game saves automatically after the race (lucky me), but it is annoying as hell that it keeps crashing
