Hey Guys!!! My 1st season as an WT team,1st grand tour is just a month away and I was wondering whether sending my GT team for Recon camp is a good idea,I don't have any major riders that can compete for Overall Classification.Got a couple a descent climber with 75 MO & HL but TT is less than 65,so would it be better to send them on TT training or Recon Camp?
PS: What exactly does a rider get from going on recon camp?? |

Recon camp helps your riders to have a better knowledge about some stages. On each recon camp you have a list of GT stages concerned by the recon camp. I make recon camp for the mountain stages and only if I have at least 3 stages concerned.
The problem is that recon camp is for at least a week (you can not change the duration). So I make my recon camps for Giro in March, for Tour in May, for Vuelta in July.
You are to close for your GT to put your riders in a recon camp. Why ? Because you have to put them in a one week tour to increase their race fitness before the GT, and second of all, you have to do the training camps. I advice you 2 training camps : TT and climbing. You will have better results. |

That's considered cheating by most players, though. The AI can't use it, therefore it gives you an unfair advantage over them.
Recon camps increases the chance of riders getting a good daily form on the stages he has checked out I think.

I couldn't currently say for sure that all of them do, I don't use anything other than the preseason camp, which I know does increase training fatigue some, but normally early season fatigue is no problem.

I don't know what to say. It is an in game feature which can help you, especially if you are new. |

Nobody's judging. You can use it whenever you like. He's just saying most people on this site don't use it, since they feel it isn't fair because the AI can't use them. But no one will stop you from using the feature |
