Ok, I reinstalled PCM do to glitches. It loaded patch 1.4.
Now, Im looking for a DB to use. But some of them mention to be used with patch 1.3 (I know, Im just using random numbers for the patch titles for easy explination).
Seeing I have patch 1.4, will a DB that says comparible with 1.2,1.3 still work with patch 1.4? I dont want to download and install a DB only to have it not work or crash my game.
Im prob going to use PCM Daily DB.
Also, I noticed the PCM 2013 DB is a beta. Will it work with no issues? Or will I have to redownload it every time its updated? And will it conflict at all with my game.
Total noob stuff, I know. But Im learning, and the only way to find out is to ask. Atleast I know how to put jerseys into the game. So Im starting to get a feel for it in some areas.
I don't think there were any changes in the DB between Patch 1.3.0.0 and 1.4.0.0, so no there shouldn't be a problem in that case. But I can't say the same about 1.1.0.3 and 1.4, to give a random example as well. Of course it's not advised to play with an outdated patch-wise DB, but most of the bigger DBs are compatible with the last patch, including the PCMDaily DB, which you said you'll probably use.
Yes, the 2013 DB is a beta, but it will work with no issues. It's mainly released to find some of the minor bugs (e.g. riders who changed nationality, small bug in pictures of a couple of riders), which will then be fixed in the V1. When the V1 and perhaps the other updates are released, there'll probably be an updater download (instead of having to re-download it, you'll probably be able to download the Public Beta -> V1 updater). Thanks for the info. I made a hard copy on a flashdrive after I installed PCM. That way it isnt a waiting game for an activation code from Cyanide. So, I can always reinstall from the flashdrive for the 2013 DB.
1 last thing.
Anyone have any idea when I was using ASO DB, after 1 season...all the equitment that wasnt in the original DB (PCM Official release), would suddenly pink squares and not a picture? Im wondering if I didnt get an update when I should of.
Perhaps you installed a patch or something like that and then the game replaced ASO's Local.cdb file to the original one. That would cause pink squares instead of equipment.
