I bought PCM 12 from this site, and for a week used the regular database. But, decided to goto a real name database. Downloaded and installed: ASO - https://pcmdaily.c...hp?did=886
The updates to the team kits and rel names was such a joy. I created 2 riders, and finished 1 full season (both riders on my team) with no issues at all. But, when I went to start the second season...my game crashed before the Giro.
So, I figured I must of had a bad save or something and just made a new team and deleted the old one. When the season started all my extra kits/gear was shown as a pink square where the picture should be (except for the original release which has the picture still). I started the season figuring it was a glitch, and my game crashed before the Giro again.
This has happened now about 20 times, I contacted customer support...and got no reply.
Every season I try to play, my game will crash right around the Giro...sometimes before.
I tried reverting back to the official database that comes with the game...it still happened.
I have deleted ever season now but my current, so far I am at the TDF...just when I figured all was well. My whole team, as well as most all but the top 5 in the TDF withdrew from the race! So I have to quick sim it to get to another race. And not sure if it will crash when I do get to another race or not.
Any help would be great. Is a update for the ASO database needed? Do you need to delete the original release database when ASO is installed? (I considered it, but didnt ant to mess anything up).
Please any help is welcome, my team and 2 riders where doing great...but I cant get through a season now and it takes the fun of signing other riders and such out of the game.
Well, it crashes on the same day every time, doesn't it?
If you skip that day(with the tutorial on the link), you can proceed after that day. But does it crash before the Giro, or at stage 1 of the Giro? If stage 1 of the Giro, and you skip a day, there might be the problem that you can't ride the Giro anymore that year. Well, at least you can go on with your career by then
@Matrix: I guess you have to find out what causes the problem.
If it is a normal crash, then it should be possible to continue the career nevertheless.
To avoid crashes during the 3D race, you could lower the graphical options.
If you cannot continue your career because the game always crashes on the same stage, then try to play the stage in single stage mode or stage race mode to see if it is a problem with that stage or rather your career.
If you cannot continue your career because the save is broken, then copy a backup from the weeklysave folder to the save game folder and continue with that one.

That may work. It just seems to crash randomly just before the Giro, but at times weeks before. Lastnight I was playing...and got to the TDF. After the 3rd stage, all but 5 riders abandon the TDF?!? So not only was my team out, but so where the rest...minus the 5 who didnt withdrawl.
I quick simulated the rest of the race, and after the TDF the 1st race I entered so far no issue. I won the Giro, and have my sites on the Velta now. Wiith luck I can win that, and goto the off season with my new team members and the 2nd year will work I hope.
